In line with the Guidance Given by the Government and Public Health England we have taken steps to provide a safe environment for both our guests and our team.
Set out below is a statement of these measures, this statement is not exhaustive of the measures we have taken and continue to take as we review our procedures and operating practices regularly to ensure they are as effective as possible.
Thursday – Saturday Dinner – served from 7.00 pm
Friday & Saturday Lunch – served from 12.30 pm
We ask that all guests dining at lunch vacate by 5.00pm to allow us time to prepare for our evening guests. We ask that you please adhere to your reservation time as we have reduced the number of guests arriving at any one time, this will help ensure the entrance is clear.
RESERVATIONS & CANCELLATIONS
Our reservations are available to book online where possible this is our preferred method via our website www.raftersrestaurant.co.uk/reservations
We can take reservations over the telephone but to limit the use of the phone in service hours we will not be answering any calls, please leave a message and we will get back to you.
When making a reservation we will ask for debit or credit card details to secure a booking, the only time we will make a charge to that card will be in the event of a no show on the day (£45pp). Due to the current situation we are wavering our 48 cancellation charge. If you cannot make your reservation for any reason please contact us as soon as possible to rearrange your reservation, this will also give us time to re-sell the table in an already drastically reduced dining room. If you are any of your party feels unwell on the day or in the run up to your booking please call us to rearrange the reservation.
Following the Public Health England Guidelines our maximum number of guests for a reservation is 6 guests from a maximum of 2 households.
When making a reservation we ask you follow Public Health England Guidelines on social distancing and do not make reservations for a party of more than two separate households.
We cannot accept guests without a reservation.
Currently our neighbourhood bar remains closed.
We have a delicious new cocktail menu along with our Rafters Spring Edition Gin. Once seated, if you would like 10-15 minutes to enjoy a pre-dinner drink at the table just let us know.
Until further notice we will offer the following menus
4 Course Lunch - £50 per person
6 Course Lunch - £80 per person
Dinner Menu (6 Courses) - £80 per person
These will also be available for vegetarians, the whole table does not have to dine from the vegetarian menu. Currently we are not offering vegan menu.
At lunch the whole table will be required to have either the 4 or 6 course menu.
Our menus will be printed per booking and disposed of after your visit unless you would like to take it home.
Our drinks menu will be printed per booking and disposed of after your visit.
Our full wine list will be available to view online.
We will endeavour to cater for dietary requirements & allergies however currently this may not be possible so please contact the restaurant before booking.
DURING YOUR VISIT
The safety of all our guests and team is important to us, during your visit we please ask;
Use the contact free hand sanitiser at the entrance on your way in and out of the restaurant
We will provide a bottle of hand sanitiser on each table for you to use as you feel you need to. This will be cleaned between each party.
Please keep your coat with you and place it on the back of your chair if you need to.
Please keep any other personal belongings with you
Take anything you bring with you including items such as tissues
Please only leave your table to use the facilities or when leaving the restaurant
Please respect the social distancing guidelines of 2 meters or 1m plus where this is not possible
As each table is set out by staff members during the day observing strict protocol unfortunately we cannot move any tables upon arrival
Please make payment at your table and not at the bar
We have enhanced our regular cleaning schedules to cover all areas and in particular high contact areas such as, hand rails & door handles.
To comply with new guidelines we have adjusted not only the number of guests we can accommodate but also the positioning of our furniture. Please do not make any adjustments to where your table and chairs are positioned.
The maximum number of people including staff will not exceed 30.
We have changed the layout and dynamic of our kitchen to allow our staff to work within the social distance guidelines. Within this new layout our staff have designated work spaces.
Our staff just like our customers have worries and concerns and have worked with us to create our new working practices.
Please bear with us during these unprecedented times if something may take longer than usual, this may be due to measures we have put in place to ensure the safety of our guests and staff
We have adjusted our staff rota to stagger the arrival of our staff to help with social distancing.
All staff are aware if they feel unwell not to attend work.
If any member of staff shows signs of COVID 19 they will follow the most current government guidance.
All our staff are trained to adhere to all aspects of food hygiene.
Staff will wash hands regularly and will use hand sanitiser between serving different tables.
All our vouchers have now been extended to expire 18 months after purchase to allow our guests time to use them.
Any vouchers that state a menu for example Experience One or Two will be accepted for their monetary value. Should the value exceed the end bill we have the ability to issue another credit voucher. We are now accepting gift vouchers to be used for our Rafters at Home. Please contact us directly if you wish to do this.
