Experience Rafters…
FOOD : SERVICE: DRINK
Rafters is a relaxed 26-seater restaurant, tucked away in the oak tree-lined suburb of Nethergreen, Sheffield.
ETHOS ...“Relaxed Sheffield hospitality with fantastic food cooked & served by a team that genuinely care.”
Head Chef Dan Conlon, creates our tasting menus with a keen focus on seasonality, locality & sustainability. Honey is brought to us by beekeeper Jez from "The Sheffield Honey Company". Milk comes from Eddie at "Our Cow Molly" in Dungworth & the majority of our meat is sourced by full carcass butcher, Andy Birks from "Andrews Butchery". The aim is to source as many top-quality ingredients as possible from the British Isles.
Restaurant Manager Ben also shares this core value when it comes to the drinks menus. From Rafter's lager, produced by "Little Mesters Brewery" or our gin from Locksley Distilling.
The vision & ethos doesn't stop there... All of our pottery is handmade by local potter Paul Mossman in Stavely. "Sheffield Cutlery" adorns the bespoke solid oak tables both made by our friends Richard & Andrew Carr at "Carrs Sheffield". Steak knives & leather placemats are all handmade by some of Sheffield's last remaining "Little Mesters" at Portland Works near Bramall Lane.
Our restaurant is a true reflection of what Sheffield has to offer.
"Please feel at home in our home.”
